Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from accredited nursing program.
• Experience preferred in nursing settings.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification; RN license in NJ or multi-state.
• Requires TNCC within 1 year of hire (or obtain within 12 months).
• Requires NIH Stroke Scale certification (or obtain by end of orientation).
• Requires ACLS within 6 months for specified units.
• Requires PALS within 6 months for specified units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care as part of a nursing team.
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Assist in pain management and comfort measures for patients.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize care outcomes.
• Develop discharge plans enabling patient independence.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about care plans.
• Participate in hospital committees and performance improvement activities.
