Job summary

Candidates should have an Associate's degree in nursing, an active RN license, and BLS. Additional certifications (TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, PALS) are expected within required timelines to support specialized units and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• AHA BLS for healthcare providers required; TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, PALS must be obtained within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides pain management support and appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures.
• Assists with discharge planning and coordination of care with the health care team.
• Ensures patient safety and effective handoff communication across shifts and departments.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and unit-based committees.
