Job summary

White Rock Medical Center is seeking an experienced House Supervisor to lead nursing teams during evening, night, and weekend hours. The role ensures optimal patient care through coordinated clinical activities, staff supervision, and department organization.

Requirements include 5+ years as a House Supervisor in ICU, BSN, Texas license, and BLS/ACLS. Clinical specialty certification is highly desirable; competitive salary and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a House Supervisor, specifically in ICU.
• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BLS and ACLS from AHA required.
• Current professional nurse license issued and/or recognized by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas required.
• Clinical specialty certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Fill staffing gaps during call-ins and census surges.
• Serve as staffing coordinator during evenings and weekends.
• Provide coverage for coworkers in their absence.
• Coordinate bed access during evenings and weekends.
• Coordinate ER admissions, direct admissions, and transfers while monitoring census.
• Allocate staff within departments to maintain a high standard of care.
• Monitor patient flow and advise leadership on resource ordering.
• Communicate barriers to Administration on Call.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
