Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking an RN Float to join the ICU Float Pool on the night shift. The role coordinates patient care, assesses needs, plans and evaluates care, and delegates tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will rely on self-scheduling, maintain patient safety, support transitions, and participate in ongoing professional development while delivering high-quality care across assigned regions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a registered nurse (RN).
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care based on our nursing model.
• Assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues.
• Delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines and patient condition.
• Maintain patient safety and smooth transitions across care settings.
• Educate patients, families, and staff; document progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the team to implement care plans and improve outcomes.
