Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System seeks a pediatric RN for the Nursing Float Pool in Miami. The role emphasizes comprehensive care planning, family-centered education, and safe, evidence-based practice across units.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform admissions, discharges, and treatments, and ensure accurate documentation in Cerner. Ideal candidates hold a Florida RN license, BSN, and active BLS/PALS; ACLS/NRP within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• RN Licensure in Florida or eNLC and active
• AS: BLS, PALS within time frames, ACLS within 1 year, NRP within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and document plan of care; collaboration with disciplines
• Conduct admission history, assessments, pain reassessment and discharge planning
• Perform medications administration with six rights; manage drips
• Provide family-centered care and patient education; translate when needed
• Document promptly in the EHR and communicate changes with physicians
• Promote safety and quality care; participate in rounds and incident reporting
• Float to multiple units while maintaining clinical excellence and service quality
• Utilize SBAR for handoffs and ensure safe wound care per policy
