Job summary

Required: Florida RN license, active PALS, ACLS, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and related certifications; 4+ years acute care

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida or eNLC active and in good standing.
• Active/valid PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 30 days.
• Comprehensive trauma and critical care certifications within listed deadlines.
• Minimum 2000 hours Neonatal Level II/III experience in two years; 4+ years acute care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient progress and critical findings with physicians and care teams.
• Completes nursing assessments, admission history, and discharge planning.
• Ensures comprehensive admission histories including spiritual, cultural, developmental and psychosocial needs.
• Delegates care based on staff qualifications and competency.
• Performs reassessments and updates plans of care as needed.
• Plans, implements, and documents care with other disciplines.
• Provides education to patients and families on health needs.
• Maintains safe environment with thorough hand-offs and infection prevention.
• Prevents medication errors, falls, and infections; ensures airway and device safety.
