Job summary

Henry Ford Health’s RN Central Float Pool rotates across three hospitals and requires commitment to work every other weekend, one summer holiday, one winter holiday, two hard-to-fill dates, and two Mondays with three Fridays per a six-week schedule.

The RN provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and teaching for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting for Intensive Care.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations across the system.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and teaching.
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
