Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for the Central Float Pool to support three hospitals. The role requires a state MI RN license, BLS, and at least 3 years in acute care ICU; you will rotate across facilities and participate in weekend/holiday coverage as scheduled.

The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing process, communication with the care team, and willingness to float to multiple locations to ensure patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting for Intensive Care
• Willingness to float to multiple locations across the system.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participate in scheduling rotations including weekends and holidays and float between hospitals.

The RN Central Float Pool is regularly scheduled to rotate between 3 hospitals, with commitment to work every other weekend; one summer holiday; one winter holiday; two hard-to-fill dates; and two Mondays and three Fridays per 6-week schedule. Work shifts may be redeployed up to one hour prior to shift start due to changing staffing needs. The RN provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Required Qualifications
