Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Virginia is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse who collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care and apply evidenced-based practice. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating nursing care, discharge planning, communicating the plan of care, and participating in quality improvement and orientation of new staff.

This role requires a BSN, Virginia RN license, and BLS/ACLS with NIHSS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license.
• BSN required and active Virginia or compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS within 90 days; ACLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interprofessional team.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care to health team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and staff orientation.
• Contribute to unit and hospital policy development.
