Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks a Resource Float Pool RN to support our ICU service lines. The nurse should have experience caring for critically ill patients and be comfortable floating between multiple ICU environments.

Resource Float Pool RNs may also support other areas throughout the hospital based on patient care and staffing needs. Core ICU units emphasize teamwork, evidence-based practice, and strong interdisciplinary support.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio required.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• BSN must be pursued within five years of hire for those hired after Jan 2010.
• Float between ICU environments and other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support ICU service lines by floating between CVICU/SICU/MICU as needed.
• Provide high-acuity care to critically ill adults.
• Communicate plans using SBAR and participate in handoffs.
• Assist with discharge planning and care coordination.
• Maintain competency and participate in professional development.
