Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks an ICU Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Center. This role involves 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, with BSN required and 2+ years ICU/critical care experience.

Flexible scheduling options are available; manager may consider PRN or part-time status while meeting minimum requirements. Collaboration with physicians and the health care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes based on standards of care.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program/process evaluation and quality initiatives.
