Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a qualified RN flight nurse to provide high-level critical care during helicopter transports and to support ongoing education within the CBS program.

You’ll assess and prioritize care for safe transport, attend mission briefings, and maintain equipment and documentation. A strong nursing foundation, critical thinking, and flexibility are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/ local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care during transport and document care.
• Assess illness/injury and prioritize care for safe transport.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and support pilot.
• Maintain equipment and supplies onboard aircraft.
• Attend pre-mission briefs and mission debriefs and complete necessary documentation.
• Participate in meetings, committees, and education activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
