Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in Georgia seeks a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to support the Critical Care Center. The role involves direct care of critically ill adults within hospital guidelines, performing procedures, and coordinating with physicians and the care team.

The candidate will contribute to research, education, and quality improvement while maintaining AEDL standards and patient safety. A Georgia license and ACLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing, OR graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with airway management and critical care procedures preferred.
• Ability to interpret and act on clinical data within hospital guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adults under physician supervision.
• Obtain health histories, perform exams, and document findings.
• Order/interprete diagnostic tests and procedures, including blood samples and EKGs.
• Perform approved therapeutic/diagnostic procedures and invasive monitoring.
• Participate in rounds, multidisciplinary committees, and quality improvement activities.
