Job summary

Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT is seeking a Physician Assistant to join an interdisciplinary team. The PA will provide comprehensive patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with 12-hour rotating shifts and a scheduled 32 hours per week.

Qualified candidates hold NCCPA certification and CT PA licensure; ACLS/BLS as required, with credentialing through the Medical Staff process. EPIC is the EMR system used to document care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Active PA Certification by NCCPA and Connecticut PA license; ACLS/BLS; consider DEA and PALS/NRP as required by position.
• Experience preferred but not required; credentialing through Medical Staff process in order to be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management as part of an interdisciplinary team across inpatient, ambulatory, and/or outpatient settings.
• Obtain medical histories, perform exams, review tests, and manage treatment plans; may prescribe within state guidelines.
• Support documentation to meet hospital regulatory requirements and protect patient information; participate in quality and safety initiatives.
• Engage in professional development and education, and act as a clinical resource for staff and learners.
