Job summary

aah is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the ICU at Lukes Medical Center (34502 Aurora St., Critical Care, 3rd Floor). The role is 20 hours per week with night shifts (11pm–7:30am or 7pm–7:30am) and requires every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. You will support RNs with patient care and documentation in EMR.

Qualifications include a GED/HSED or high school diploma, and a Nurse Aide credential in good standing. BLS must be obtained within 45 days. This position is benefit-eligible.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide certification in good standing with the state registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, etc.).
• Record vitals and inputs/outputs; document in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Support admission/transfer/discharge processes and room setup.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Restock nursing area and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and nutrition needs.
• Maintain skin integrity and use prescribed patient aids.
