Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an ICU Clinical Supervisor to lead clinical staff and manage operations in the ICU. The role combines patient care with supervisory duties, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and coordination with physicians and nursing leadership.

The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shift coverage and full benefits. Applicants must hold a state RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ideally CCRN certification; BSN preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current CCRN certification, preferred (must obtain within 1 year).
• Bachelor of Science required and in Nursing preferred or enrolled in an accredited program within one-year of employment or transfer into supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in ICU setting and supervise clinical staff.
• Consult other departments to support interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate with Nurse Director, co-workers and physicians about patient condition and plan.
• Maintain strong working relationships within the department and with other units.
