Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during shifts. You will guide nursing care, support staff, and collaborate with management to meet organizational goals and patient outcomes.

The CNC role emphasizes leadership, staffing coordination, safety compliance, and ongoing clinical excellence within a 13-bed MICU/step-down environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required.
• 2-5 years of ICU experience as a licensed Registered Nurse highly preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required (RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, evaluates, customizes, and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Leads in a way that inspires commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values.
• Represents the organization positively within the community and participates in events and in-services.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Upholds safety policies and reports unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
