Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions on shift. You will guide nursing care, serve as a resource to staff, and align with policies to support exceptional outcomes and a positive patient experience.

You will lead staffing, contribute to interviewing and training, and work with a management team to drive engagement and quality improvements across the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in Texas or Active Multi-State RN Compact License with Texas license within 60 days.
• BSN preferred and 2+ years healthcare experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of unit functions during shift.
• Directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with policies; serves as resource for staff.
• Assist with admissions/discharges to ensure throughput and care quality.
• Collaborates with management to create teamwork for improved outcomes and service.
• Supports interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
