Job summary

Methodist Hospital Westover Hills in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during the designated shift.

You will partner with the management team to direct and evaluate nursing care, support staff, and implement nursing strategies such as rounding and service initiatives to improve patient outcomes and engagement.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months.
• STABLE certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of start date.
• 2 years experience as an RN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions/discharges to ensure throughput and quality care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborate with managers to foster teamwork for better outcomes.
• Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies like hourly rounds to boost engagement.
• Contribute to staff interviewing, training, evaluations, and discipline as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Support inventory control and equipment management.
