Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY seeks a Registered Nurse for PRN night shifts in the Cor ICU/CCU. This 10-bed unit delivers comprehensive critical care with an interdisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will perform assessments, coordinate admissions and discharges, provide education to patients and families, and develop individualized care plans while supporting admissions, transfers and discharges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Basic life support—applicants have 30 days from hire date to provide completion if not on file.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment, care coordination and patient/family education.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges with the care team.
• Deliver direct patient care and nursing rounds on the ICU/CCU unit.
