Job summary

Baptist Health's CICU on the 3rd Floor of the 4002 Building is seeking a PRN Nights ICU nurse. The unit cares for adults through geriatrics with high acuity and employs close nurse-to-patient monitoring. ACLS/BCLS are required with progression timelines; Kentucky licensure is mandatory.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, implementing care plans, and coordinating with families as a resource through the critical care journey. Previous CICU or critical care experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky License is required.
• BCLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS must be obtained within six months for experienced staff and within one year for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• The ICU nurse assesses patient needs and implements appropriate interventions in the CICU.
• The ICU nurse plans and maintains the delivery of nursing care and ensures interventions address patient problems.
• Strong critical thinking skills are essential to guide the patient and family through the critical care journey.
