Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a PRN Nights ICU nurse for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) on the 3rd Floor 4002 Building in Kentucky. The CICU is a 10-bed unit with cardiac-focused, high-acuity care and a low nurse-to-patient ratio; BCLS and ACLS are required, and ACLS is required within the stated timeframe.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky nursing license required.
• BCLS required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within six months for experienced staff and within one year for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• The ICU nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the patient.
• The ICU Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; directs interventions to resolve problems; performs technical care.
• ICU nurses must have strong critical thinking skills.
