Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• NJ RN license or multi-state RN license required; BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS and/or PALS/NIH stroke certifications may be required based on unit assignment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures and educating patients and families.
• Performs discharge planning and coordinates handoffs with the care team.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to optimize outcomes and satisfaction.
• Provides documentation and education to patients about conditions and medications.
