Job summary

Capital Health in Trenton, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVCU) on the Night shift. The role involves collaborative patient care, adherence to nursing processes, and ensuring safety and quality in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in nursing (BSN preferred), NJ RN license, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and TNCC/ATCN as applicable. Expect 12-hour shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• ATCN or TNCC required within 1 year of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or obtain within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care through nursing process (assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Support pain management with pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain conditions and care plans.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordination with care team.
• Participate in performance improvement and regulatory readiness activities.
