Job summary

The role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, MS Office skills, and a minimum of one year in a hospital setting, with a High School diploma. BLS certification is required, and Parental Leave and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of hospital experience in health unit coordination preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties to ensure smooth operation of the department or unit.
• Notifies other departments or physicians and documents information accurately.
• Accesses medication area to place medications securely.
• Engages in performance improvement activities and supports quality standards.
• Interacts with patients appropriately for age and culture and documents data timely.
