Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an ICT Colo Regional Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of AWS data center infrastructure. You will develop connectivity solutions for the physical layer and create pathway and cabling designs for construction and permitting at AWS data centers.

The role requires strong experience in mission-critical facilities, deep knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment, and travel about 40% to review

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers.
• Experience in designing construction/maintenance documents for critical facilities.
• Experience in mission-critical engineering environments (data centers, power, oil & gas).

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of ICT pathway, cabling and equipment designs.
• Review and approve ICT submittals for pathways and equipment.
• Identify risks and high-priority issues and address them swiftly.
• Support new technology and design activities to improve quality and reduce cost.
• Travel about 40% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel.
