Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an ICT Designer to lead day-to-day Telecommunications, Security, and A/V design documentation under guidance from senior staff. You will advance BIM modeling expertise using Revit and support multiple design teams across projects.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field and experience in telecom/technology systems design, with the ability to work independently within a multi-office group in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of inside-plant (ISP) and outside-plant (OSP) telecommunications design.
• Thoroughness in design coordination and contract document development.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-office technology systems group.

Responsibilities

• Technical day to day design of Telecommunications, Security and A/V construction documents with guidance from senior staff
• Coordinating and preparing schematic design, design development, and construction documents with emphasis on Technology requirements (Telecom, Security, A/V)
• Building an expertise with the latest design software (Revit) and BIM modeling
• Performing site condition surveys
• Reviewing contractor submittals
• Routinely supporting multiple design teams (projects) and delivering results, managing your time and contributions effectively to meet varying deadlines
• Producing quality work using technology and methodologies that create innovative approaches to building design
