Job summary

Stantec seeks an ICT Designer to perform technical design for Telecommunications, Security and A/V systems, with guidance from senior staff. You will coordinate design documents and embrace BIM using Revit, while supporting multiple project teams and conducting site surveys.

The role requires independence, ability to work across offices, and a willingness to travel up to 5% for collaboration and on-site client interaction. Associates degree in Engineering Technology or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• 5 years’ experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Technology Systems (Telecom, Security, A/V) in sectors like government, healthcare, higher education, science & technology.

Responsibilities

• Technical day-to-day design of Telecommunications, Security and A/V construction documents with guidance from senior staff.
• Coordinating schematic design, design development, and construction documents with emphasis on Technology requirements (Telecom, Security, A/V).
• Building expertise with Revit and BIM modeling.
• Performing site condition surveys.
• Reviewing contractor submittals.
• Supporting multiple design teams and meeting deadlines.
• Producing quality work using technology and innovative design approaches.
• Travel for this position anticipated < 5% for cross-office work and client engagement.
