Job summary

Stantec in Chicago, IL is seeking an Information and Communications Technology Designer to develop system designs within the ICT discipline, conduct site surveys, and produce deliverables aligned with the client’s scope.

The role requires knowledge of ICT design principles, familiarity with TIA standards and BICSI best practices, and proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam and Revit. Strong organization and budget awareness are valued.

Qualifications

• ICT design principles knowledge.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and codes.
• Experience with data center facilities and ICT design in mission critical environments.
• Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam and Revit software.
• Understanding of TIA standards and BICSI best practices.
• Communicator facilitating scope and coordination with clients and vendors.
• Strong organization and time management across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops system designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and punch lists.
• Prepares project deliverables per client’s scope of work.
• Follows Stantec’s QA/QC processes and reviews deliverables.
• Participates in engineering community for knowledge growth.
• Meets utilization goals and adheres to project budgets.
• Assists or acts as project manager by planning tasks and coordinating precursors.
