Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks an Information and Communications Technology Designer to perform basic technical duties under supervision, coordinating with the ICT Senior Consultant or Project Manager. Responsibilities include designing systems within discipline, site surveys, client deliverables, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICT design principles for backbone and horizontal cabling.
• Understanding customer owned outside plant pathway design.
• Knowledge of TIA standards and BICSI best practices.
• Background in Data Center Facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Proficient in CAD, Bluebeam, Revit.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys and inspections.
• Prepares project deliverables per client scope.
• Follows quality management processes and QA/QC reviews.
• Participates in professional community for growth.
• Meets utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Assists or acts as project manager to plan tasks within timeline and budget.
• Creates detailed instructions and delegates tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Identifies roadblocks affecting scope, schedule, and budget.
• Understands Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.
