Job summary
Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an ICT Colocation Engineer for the Colo Regional Engineering – AMER team. You will drive designs for fiber/copper plant, review ICT submittals, and coordinate with onsite teams. Expect travel and cross-functional collaboration across AWS data centers.
The role emphasizes designing for reliability, safety, and cost efficiency within mission-critical facilities, with growth opportunities in a fast-paced cloud infrastructure environment.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
- 4+ years of commissioning experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
- Experience in commissioning
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery of scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications
- Review and approval of ICT pathway, cable and equipment submittals
- Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively
- Support new technology and design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time
- Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS' Data Centers
