Job summary

University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites applications for the Cyber Warrior Diversity Program Specialist role in the ICS/OT security group. The position supports non-credit workforce development workshops and prepares participants for CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ as part of the program.

The temporary contractual appointment reports to the program director and emphasizes hands-on PLC/SCADA training for students and faculty on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in industrial automation or OT/ICS cyber environments.
• Ladder Logic and PLC programming experience.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal or similar PLC tools.
• Experience with SCADA software and basic network device management.
• Ability to design and deliver technical training sessions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate non-credit workforce development workshops to support CompTIA certs.
• Assist in curriculum and training delivery for ICS/OT security.
• Develop and deliver technical training sessions for students and faculty.
• Support program administration and coordination of workshops.
