Job summary

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is seeking an Assistant Engineer (Electrical or Control Systems) to join the ICS Engineering Group within the Design Division. The role focuses on control system design, integration, and standardization for water treatment and distribution facilities.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or CA EIT, two years of engineering experience, and a valid CA driver’s license. Ability to work overtime and 24/7 standby will be necessary at times.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or CA EIT certificate.
• Two years of professional electrical or control systems engineering experience.
• Valid California driver’s license and driving record; willing to overtime and 24/7 standby when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings and specifications including P&IDs, electrical site plans, conduit and cable schedules, and wiring diagrams.
• Deliver ICS designs for capital improvement projects as part of multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Support projects through construction by developing and deploying ICS applications; test and commission these applications and train Operations and Maintenance personnel.
