Job summary

Pentagon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lab Chemist III to oversee ICPMS laboratory operations, provide technical leadership, and drive continuous improvement. The role centers on data-informed decision making, strategic direction, and ensuring lab excellence to meet business goals.

Open to Day Shift or Swing Shift (M-F). Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is preferred, with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Chemist, Laboratory Specialist, or equivalent analytical laboratory role.
• Experience leading laboratory operations and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational leadership for the ICPMS laboratory.
• Supervise daily workflow, staffing priorities, and shift execution.
• Monitor laboratory performance metrics, instrument health, and operational trends.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions related to quality, process, or equipment issues.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for ICPMS operations, maintenance, and analytical methods.
• Develop and implement laboratory improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
• Create, maintain, and standardize SOPs, training programs, and best practices.
• Partner with engineering, production, and management to support business objectives.
• Represent the laboratory in cross-functional meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
