Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Scientist III to strengthen our Metals and SVOA teams with advanced analytical chemistry and instrumental expertise. The role requires handling ICPMS, LCMS/MS, and GCMS/MS instrumentation, plus leadership for method setup, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has strong independent work capability, mentors others, and delivers high-quality, defensible results.

Qualifications

BS in Chemistry or closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience operating ICPMS, LCMS/MS, and/or GCMS/MS instrumentation.
Ability to setup, optimize, calibrate, and interpret complex data.
Ability to mentor others and contribute to projects independently.

Responsibilities

Perform complex to highly specialized analytical testing per SOPs using multiple instruments.
Review, interpret, and document complex data for defensible results.
Oversee chemistry records, databases, and reports for compliance.
Provide training and guidance on methods, instrumentation, and best practices.
Serve as SME to staff and leaders; support process improvements.
Analyze operational data, present findings and recommendations to management.
Ensure data integrity through audits and investigations; resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate on chemistry and crossfunctional projects with timelines.
Stay current on regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
