Title: Restaurant Food Runner
Classification: Non‑Exempt
Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager

Summary/Objective

The Restaurant Food Runner is responsible for setting tables, serving food orders, and removing used dishes and utensils.

Essential Functions

• Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including all tables and chairs.
• Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils.
• Prepares all beverages required for service, including coffee, iced tea, and hot water.
• Communicates food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests, such as food allergies.
• Delivers food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables quickly and accurately.
• Checks in with guests, takes additional orders or refills water as needed.
• Closes dining room by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash.
• Presents a neat and clean uniform, well‑groomed hair, and proper personal hygiene.
• Ensures all guests are treated in a manner that guarantees their complete satisfaction and strives to exceed expectations.
• Performs other duties as directed.
• Attends weekly Aloha Culture Meetings.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards, including cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
