Job summary

Oak View Group's PPL Center in Allentown seeks an Ice Crew member to perform general labor, including ice maintenance, rink equipment repairs, and event conversions. You will work at the PPL Center, with responsibilities spanning ice quality control, installation, and maintenance tasks.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to use power tools, and willingness to work long irregular hours, including nights and weekends. This is a part‑time hourly position.

Qualifications

• Experience with ice maintenance and rink equipment preferred.
• Must be able to use power tools.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
• Comfort working in very cold or very hot conditions for extended periods.
• Able to stand, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and stoop for extended periods.
• Read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work long irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rink equipment (Zamboni, dasher system, subfloor, tempered glass, etc.).
• Work with the facilities team to ensure optimal ice conditions for events.
• Support ice installation and removal activities.
• Assist operations with event conversions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
