Job summary

Canlan Ice Sports is seeking an Ice Maintenance Person to ensure ice rinks are resurfaced, leveled, and kept in top condition. The role includes operating the ice resurfacer, performing ice chopping and painting, and handling general facility maintenance and janitorial duties.

Ideal candidates will have experience with ice resurfacing equipment, a flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Completed high school education or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes.
• Operate ice resurfacer and perform ice maintenance duties.
• Janitorial duties and general facility upkeep.
• Assist with ice chopping/spudding, leveling, and ice painting.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of entrances, grounds and parking areas.
• Keep accurate checklists and records for ice resurfacer usage and maintenance.
