Job summary

City of Apple Valley, MN is seeking an Arena Operations Associate to assist with facility maintenance and daily arena operations. You will oversee safety, cleanliness, and guest experience, and lead seasonal staff in absence of the Arena Manager.

The role includes operating ice resurfacers, guiding events, and opening/closing duties, with shift times primarily in the late afternoon to midnight. Background check may be required and rate of pay depends on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, sit, crouch, twist, push, pull, bend, stoop, squat and lift.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, days and evenings.
• Previous driving and/or arena experience desired.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist arena personnel in maintaining the facility and operations; provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests and patrons.
• Open and close arena; operate ice resurfacers and enforce policies; provide direction in emergencies.
• Supervise and provide work direction to seasonal staff when needed; monitor activities at the arena.
• Schedule events and maintain arena cleanliness; oversee open skating, leagues, lessons and other activities.
