Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part-time Scoopers to join our Grand Central Terminal shop in Manhattan, NY. You will greet guests, scoop and serve all menu items, and share our hospitality as a Van Leeuwen ambassador in a fast-paced environment. The role offers $17.00 per hour plus an average of $7 per hour in tips.

You must be available for at least three shifts per week and be able to work past 12am. A food handlers certificate is required and physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food handlers certificate required.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Available to work 3 days a week including nights and weekends past 12 am.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly with enthusiasm and hospitality.
• Scoop and serve guests all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests on flavors, ingredients and specials.
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily.
• Operate Square POS system for checkout.
• Follow food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock daily tasks.
• Follow company safety, grooming, and conduct standards.
