Job summary

The Glenview Community Ice Center in Glenview, IL is seeking a part-time Operations Staff member to provide a friendly, safe environment for programs, public sessions, events, and rentals.

Responsibilities include skate rental operations, basic POS, skate guard, payments, and assisting with birthday parties while coordinating venue layout and safety. Must be 16 or older and have customer service or ice operations experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, ice operations or programming.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Providing customers with a friendly, clean and safe environment in which to participate in programs, public sessions, events and rentals
• Operating skate rental, basic point-of-sale desk operations and skate guard
• Distributing rental skates for use during classes and public sessions
• Processing payments for a variety of services and maintaining a balanced register
• Setting up, operating and taking down bumper cars
• Skate guarding, ensuring a safe and friendly environment
• Assisting with birthday parties and room rentals
• Greeting customers coming in/exiting the facility and giving guidance to facility layout/schedule
• Communicating and supporting rentals as guests arrive, unlocking their reserved room and aiding parties as needed during their reservation
• Monitoring and enforcing safety guidelines with patrons around the facility
• Completing light maintenance duties when the skate rental desk is not busy
