Job summary

Park District of Oak Park is seeking a Facility Coordinator for Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex in Oak Park, IL. This full-time role supervises operations staff, oversees ice and facility operations, and delivers excellent customer service to patrons.

The position requires 18+, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and leadership experience. It offers comprehensive benefits and a Tue-Sat 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule with seasonal adjustments.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required; college preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Experience supervising staff.
Certified Pool Operator or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
CPR, First Aid and AED certifications within 1 month of employment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer applications.
Ability to learn applicable Park District software and maintain customer service standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise operations staff, including supervising roles, and provide direction through evaluation and mentoring.
Manage staff schedules, attendance, breaks, assignments, and replacements as needed.
Provide building security by monitoring the facility, entrances, grounds and visitors.
Enforce facility rules with staff, participants and patrons; ensure safety and compliance.
Oversee daily operations and programming at Ridgeland Common; ensure a safe, well-run facility.
Operate ice resurfacing equipment and perform routine equipment inspections; report issues.
Perform janitorial duties and supervise custodial staff; assist with snow removal as needed.
Deliver strong customer service; address patron questions and concerns promptly.
Maintain reports, forms, and checklists; participate in staff trainings.
