Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One or more years of related experience preferred; training provided.
• Basic computer skills to send/receive emails, write memos and generate reports using Microsoft Office.
• General maintenance skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in cold, icy environments.

Responsibilities

• Ice maintenance: inspect and edge ice surface; maintain level surface; prepare ice edger; ensure safety and efficiency.
• Monitor ammonia ice system; log readings; coordinate with preventive maintenance; report issues to Supervisor.
• Perform general repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) as needed; inspect for wear and tear; ensure safe operation.
• Complete maintenance checklist and document repairs for a safe, well-maintained arena.
• Purchase supplies and process requisitions over $1,500 following City procedures.
• Clean facility and manage room setups including restrooms, lobby, and locker rooms.
• Demonstrate professionalism and public service mindset; communicate effectively and work with teams.
