Oxford Global Resources is seeking a healthcare coder to review, analyze, and code medical record documentation, ensuring accurate ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT-4/HCPCS coding. This role involves auditing orders and claims for completeness, abstracting demographics, and maintaining accurate records in the practice management system.

Ideal candidates hold RHIA/RHIT/CPC/CPC-H/CCA/CCS-P or equivalent certification, with preferred coding certificate programs.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-H, CCA, CCS-P, or equivalent coding certification required.
• Coding Certificate program, AAPC or AHIMA accredited preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles and guidelines.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and reimbursement.

Responsabilités

• Review, analyze, and code medical record documentation to assign ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT-4/HCPCS codes.
• Audit orders and claims for accuracy to minimize denials.
• Abstract demographics and coding information into the information system.
• Query physicians when documentation is unclear and obtain necessary information.
