Position Summary

Adjunct Instructors deliver trades training in a variety of content areas using a wide range of media, equipment, and teaching methods. To meet the needs of our students and client organizations, Institute for Corporate and Continuing Education instructors have relevant workplace/professional experience and bring real world knowledge into the learning environment. This position prepares and provides all lecture and laboratory instruction in one or more trade related workforce training areas. Areas of education focus include but are not limited to Aviation, Construction, Environmental, OHSA/FEMA, Manufacturing, Water and Wastewater, and Supply Chain. Hiring Salary Range: $50.00.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and online instruction, including lecture and laboratory components.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and media to meet student and client needs.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes before class begins and maintain classroom/online environment.
• Manage student learning objectives and ensure all students meet course expectations.
• Complete required Canvas LMS information (attendance, evaluations, grading) by the end of the course.
• Prepare students for applicable certification exams and help them acquire career‑ready skills in the trades workforce.
• Contribute to and/or develop curriculum for new courses.
• Provide instructor‑led and, when appropriate, webinar delivery.
• Maintain instructional materials and technology to support effective teaching.

Required Qualifications

• Five years of prior‑related work experience in a trade or related field.
• Relevant professional experience and real‑world knowledge to enhance learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appropriate licensing, credentials, and/or certifications required to teach particular content areas.
• Five years or more of facilitation, teaching, or consultation experience.

• Selected candidate must successfully complete a Level II criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
