Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Special Inspector to join our PSI team in Morgan Hill, California. The role involves performing testing, observations, and inspection duties under general supervision in the A/E/C industry.

Base compensation ranges from $35 to $60 per hour, with relocation assistance and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ related inspection experience.
• ICC reinforced concrete certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently; occasional over 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil and/or concrete testing.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications; use drawings and diagrams.
• Observe site activities and perform complex tasks; document data from test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams; attend meetings.
