Job summary

Intertek-PSI in Phoenix, Arizona seeks an ICC Special Inspector to join our team in the A/E/C industry. You will perform inspections, testing, project observations, and site assessments while supporting project coordination and field problem solving.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and capable of reading plans, interpreting specifications, and communicating clearly with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• ICC reinforced concrete certification required.
• ICC Commercial Building inspector certification preferred.
• IFC Firestop certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil and/or concrete testing; provide data interpretation.
• Utilize drawings, specifications and diagrams.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams and attend project meetings.
