Job summary

NV5 is seeking qualified ICC and/or CWI Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in Southern California and a large project in Campo, CA. This part-time role requires experience inspecting residential, commercial, and industrial projects and familiarity with California Building Code.

Responsibilities include QC/QA inspections, reviewing plans, maintaining records, and coordinating with project managers and clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience inspecting residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects.
  • Familiar with California Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications: ACI, ICC, CWI.

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC/QA inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with codes and standards.
  • Verify that construction complies with approved plans and calculations.
  • Read, research, and interpret code requirements.
  • Maintain clear, concise records related to inspection activities.
  • Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance.
  • Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients in meetings and on site.
  • Other duties as assigned.
