Job summary

NV5, Inc. seeks qualified ICC and/or CWI Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in Southern California. You will perform QC/QA inspections, verify compliance with codes, and maintain detailed records.

Experience with residential, commercial, and industrial inspections is preferred. California-specific codes and project variability are noted, with competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Familiar with California Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.
• Must be a motivated individual who can follow direction.
• Prepare daily reports for submission to QC Manager.
• A valid Driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC/QA inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with approved codes, laws ordinances, regulations and standards
• Verify that construction complies with approved plans and calculations
• Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements
• Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records related to inspection activities
• Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance
• Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
• Other duties as assigned
