Job summary

NV5, Inc. seeks qualified ICC and/or CWI Inspectors to provide inspection services for Southern California and Campo, CA projects. The role emphasizes QC/QA inspections to verify compliance with codes and project documents.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, maintaining reports, coordinating with Project Managers and engineers, and preparing daily QC submissions. A valid CA driver’s license and code knowledge are required; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Requirement for Special Inspector and/or Field Technician vary depending on the type of work to be performed.
• Familiar with California Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.
• Must be a motivated individual who can follow direction.
• Prepare daily reports for submission to QC Manager.
• A valid Driver's license
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Perform QC/QA inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with approved codes, laws ordinances, regulations and standards
• Verify that construction complies with approved plans and calculations
• Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements
• Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records related to inspection activities
• Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance
• Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
• Other duties as assigned

NV5, Inc. is seeking qualified ICC and/or CWI Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in Southern California and a large project in Campo, CA. Must have experience providing inspections for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. Experience with California adopted codes preferred. Project locations and durations vary by assignment.

The pay range for this California position is $40- $50 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
